Sober Living During COVID-19
Purpose Driven recovery remains open and committed to helping individuals continue to live productive and sober lives. The goal of our community has always been the health and safety of our clients and staff. In response of the COVID-19 Pandemic, our sober living facility’s main priority is to keep our clients and staff safe from the spread of COVID-19. While we’ve always been aware of infection control, we’ve taken heightened measures to keep the health and safety of our staff and residents at the forefront. We continue to follow CDC guidelines and World Health Organization’s recommendations to protect our patients and staff, which adhere by the following:
- All potential residents and visitors undergo a COVID-19 screening for symptoms.
- Purpose Driven Recovery sober living has implemented a CDC guideline infection control program. We disinfect surfaces every thirty minutes and have sanitizing and cleaning supplies available for all of our residents.
- All residents and staff are advised to stay home if they are feeling under the weather.
- We urge all staff and residents to remain six feet apart.
COVID-19 Sober Living
At Purpose Driven Recovery, our sober living programs help individuals transition from a structured program of early recovery to bridge the gap within the real world. Our services help individuals create a structured environment while utilizing new coping skills and tools they may have learned with a licensed clinician or in an addiction treatment program. By providing a drug free and accountable environment, sober living communities can be considered an integral part of long-term addiction recovery. In these environments, individuals are advised to lean on the network of peers, continue working on limiting beliefs and root-cause issues, and give back to others walking the same path as them. While living in a sober living community during the COVID-19 Pandemic, it may seem worrisome and even scary, however, rest assured our sober living homes adhere to strict protocols and procedures to keep all of our clients safe from the spread of COVID-19.
